The University of Glasgow Alumni Association in Azerbaijan (UGAAA) will hold a Burns Night event dedicated to the great Scottish poet Robert Burns at the Shirvanshah Hotel on February 17 at 18:00, UGAAA President Farid Nasirli told Day.Az.
The event promises to be an exciting event with the participation of representatives of the British Embassy, graduates of UK universities and guests from various organizations. Guests will gather to network, enjoy an exclusive dinner and take part in a cultural journey through Scotland. The evening will continue with the reading of poems by Robert Burns and works by famous poets of Azerbaijan.
The University of Glasgow Alumni Association in Azerbaijan (UGAAA) was founded in 2023 with the support of the University of Glasgow. UGAAA proudly serves as the university’s renowned global alumni association. Its main task is to develop a sense of community among graduates of the University of Glasgow and Azerbaijani graduates associated with British institutions.
