State Duma deputy from the Amur region Vyacheslav Loginov named the key legislative initiatives of the outgoing year. Among them are increased social guarantees for heroine mothers, increased benefits for female students and a vocational training program for veterans of the Northern Military District.
Separately, he noted the law allowing schoolchildren who have not passed the OGE to obtain a working specialty for free.
Speaking about the future of the region, Loginov emphasized that the Amur region cannot do without the construction of new hydroelectric power stations. In his opinion, the region’s water potential must be fully exploited before considering nuclear energy projects that are currently being discussed for neighboring regions.
The politician is confident that the energy shortage in the Far East will only grow, and this problem must be solved taking into account local characteristics.
