AMD quietly launched a new version of the RX 9060 XT card; It’s called the RX 9060 XT LP, and it only consumes 140 watts, about 20 watts less than the standard version.
Where will the card be available?
The RX 9060 XT LP appeared for the first time on AMD’s Chinese page, and accordingly, information spread that the card will be exclusive to China. But later, fortunately, the card appeared on the official global website to deny these speculations.
AMD had announced its intention to launch the RX 9060 card as a standalone product (instead of being directed to OEMs), but – as we see – it chose to launch a reduced-power version of the XT.
Almost identical specifications

In terms of basic specifications, the RX 9060 XT LP is almost identical to the standard version, as it includes 2048 cores, 16 GB GDDR6 memory, a 128-bit bus, in addition to 64 artificial intelligence accelerators, and it also maintains the same power connector (8-pin).
The only noticeable difference appears in computational performance, as the data indicates a very slight decrease in processing capabilities at FP8, FP16, FP32, etc., which explains the decrease in power consumption without a fundamental change in hardware.
The new card also maintains the same connectivity options, including HDMI 2.1b and DisplayPort 2.1a, without any change in the display formats or supported technologies.
What about the price?
So far, AMD has not revealed the price of the RX 9060 XT LP card or when it will be available in the market. Obviously, the price difference is very slight, as is the performance difference that may not be noticed, and hence we wonder: Why did AMD launch this card? Is it to increase the popularity of the 9060 XT version in general, or is there another reason?
