The family’s initial trips were local, designed to rigorously test the ambulance’s reliability. These shakedown cruises included camping trips and explorations of Quebec’s Sepaq parks, such as Oka. Emboldened by their success, the following summer saw them venturing to the North Shore. In 2023, they undertook an ambitious three-month journey across the United States, visiting an impressive 21 national parks, from the Grand Canyon to Yellowstone. This unique lifestyle also incorporates homeschooling,allowing the children to learn “on the road,” blending education with real-world experiences.

Liberté Stat: Sharing the Adventure
Recognizing the potential for others to experience the freedom of mobile exploration, the family launched “Liberté Stat,” a rental service offering the ambulance to aspiring adventurers. To date, they’ve facilitated approximately forty rentals, allowing others to create their own unforgettable memories. The success of Liberté Stat has fueled further expansion, with a second ambulance-autocamper currently under construction, promising even more opportunities for unique travel experiences.
The rise in popularity of van life and recreational vehicle (RV) travel is undeniable. According to a recent report by the RV Industry Association, RV shipments in North america are projected to reach [Insert Current Year Projection] units, highlighting the growing demand for flexible and adventurous travel options. Liberté Stat taps into this trend, offering a distinctive alternative to traditional RV rentals.
And when the family does not use it for its getaways, it allows apprentice adventurers to rent it for their own holidays, under the brand Liberté Stat – which has done around forty locators so far.
