Ambri vs SCB: National League Highlights & Result | Sport

  • Ambri-Piotta loses a crazy game against Freiburg 5:6 nV in the National League
  • Unfortunately, Bern also lost to Davos in overtime.
  • Kloten, Zug, the SCL Tigers and Lausanne won.

Ambri–Freiburg 5:6 nV

The most spectacular game on Friday evening in the Gottardo Arena was not short on goals. After four minutes, Freiburg was already leading 2-0, 74 seconds later it was already 2-2. Even after the spectacular start, the teams didn’t let up. Ambri completely turned the game around in the starting third. In the second round, the Ticino team were suddenly behind 3:4 again, but Chris Tierney equalized again two seconds before the end of the third. Because both teams scored once in the final third, extra time was necessary. In a game that actually didn’t deserve a loser, a power play ultimately made the decision. Chris DiDomenico had to watch from the penalty box as Michael Kapla shot the guests to victory.

Bern – Davos 2:3 aet

Despite a combative performance (at least in the second half of the game), the Bernese also lost out in the third season comparison with the Graubünden team. Klas Dahlbeck scored HCD’s 25th win in their 33rd game in the 63rd minute. The SCB had made up for a 0-2 deficit within 54 seconds in the final third thanks to Simon Kindschi and Marco Lehmann and was then closer to success. Overall, the Bernese had bad luck on their skates. At 0-2, Romain Loeffel had an unfortunate deflect of the puck, the ball was hit twice and Zurkirchen didn’t look happy when the goal was conceded in overtime.

Kloten – Lakers 5:2

An outstanding starting third gave Kloten a home win over the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. Leandro Profico (10th), Axel Simic (14th) and Max Lindroth (15th) each in the power play quickly ensured a comfortable 3-0 lead. Afterwards, the guests, who were able to reduce the score to 1:3 and 2:4, never really came close again. With the win, Kloten moves up to 12th place.

Zug – Biel 4:0

The EVZ experienced how a goal can turn a game around in a positive sense, and Biel in a negative sense. The visitors were the better team for 25 minutes, and Zug had Leonardo Genoni to thank for not falling behind. Johnny Kneubühler failed twice from an excellent position. Then Dominik Schlumpf launched a super pass to Grégory Hofmann, who scored to give EVZ the lead. From then on Zug had the game under control, Sven Senteler with a bit of luck (46th) as well as Jan Kovar (49th) and Tomas Tatar (56th), each after nice combinations, ensured clear conditions.

Genf – SCL Tigers 1:4

The Tigers achieved their first victory in the third direct duel with Geneva-Servette. The Finns provided the music for the Emmental team: Harri Pesonen with his 9th goal of the season (14th) and Juuso Riikola (19th) scored in the starting third. Riikola, who was seriously injured at the start of the season, has now really settled into the season. Last week he was used on the Euro Hockey Tour with Finland’s national team. At the beginning of the final third, Marco Miranda started a comeback – the supposed one, because Luca Boltshauser between the SCL posts could no longer be defeated. Flavio Dirt and Pesonen (60th) scored into the empty goal.

Ajoie – Lausanne 3:4 nV

Lausanne had a lot more trouble with Ajoie than the people of Vaud had hoped for. In the 51st minute, Jason Fuchs made it 3-2 for the guests after a strong individual effort and supposedly secured the decision. But Killian Mottet equalized for Ajoie with 70 seconds left. In extra time it was Drake Caggiula who at least secured the extra point for Lausanne.
