Fostering Future Talent: SNK’s Intellectual Property Integrated into High School Curriculum
In a move aimed at cultivating the next generation of digital artists, SNK Co., Ltd., renowned for its iconic fighting game franchises, has entered into an IP license agreement with Digital Art Amakusa, a company established in collaboration with Amakusa City. This partnership will see SNK’s intellectual property integrated into the curriculum of Kumamoto Prefectural Amakusa Technical High School.
ORENDA WORLD and Digital Art Amakusa Spearhead CG Education
ORENDA WORLD Co., Ltd., which expanded its operations into Amakusa City in February 2023, is playing a crucial role in this initiative. Since 2024, ORENDA WORLD and Digital Art Amakusa have been providing instructors for the high school’s newly established CG series, focusing on developing specialized skills in computer graphics production.The integration of SNK’s well-known IP is expected to provide students with a tangible connection to the industry, allowing them to envision their future careers and concentrate their learning within specific areas of interest.
“SAMURAI SPIRITS” Characters Take Center Stage
Beginning in 2025,students will have the possibility to work with 3D models and animations of iconic characters from SNK’s SAMURAI SPIRITS
franchise,including Amakusa Shiro Tokisada and Nakoruru. This hands-on experience, facilitated by ORENDA WORLD, will expose students to professional-grade data and workflows, further enhancing their skill development. This initiative aligns with the growing demand for skilled CG artists, with the global animation and VFX industry projected to reach $360 billion by 2026.
Revitalizing the Amakusa Region Through Digital Arts
digital Art Amakusa envisions creating a thriving digital content industry in the region, encompassing game and anime production. This initiative aims to provide local employment opportunities for young people,encouraging them to remain in Amakusa and contribute to its economic growth. The project seeks to establish enduring regional development and contribute to the overall revitalization of the Amakusa area.
Our goal is to create an environment where young people can remain in Amakusa and turn UI, while working to create a project that will create sustainable regions and contribute to the revitalization of the Amakusa region.
