Alwi Farhan advanced to the last 16 of the Indonesia Masters 2026. The Indonesian men’s singles champion defeated India’s representative, Ayush Shetty, 21-8, 21-13.
Playing on Court 1 Istora GBK, Wednesday (21/1) evening, Alwi only needed 29 minutes to overcome Shetty. The home badminton player won the straight game.
In the first game, Alwi’s dominance was visible. He can lead 21-8 over Shetty, who is ranked 24th in the world.

In the second game, Shetty was able to provide little resistance. Even so, Alwi still dominated and finally won 21-13.
This result made Alwi advance to the top 16. He overtook Moh Zaki Ubaidillah, who previously also beat India’s Pitra singles, Kiran George, 21-17, 21-14.
