The 2026 census campaign takes place in our town from this Thursday, January 15 to next Saturday, February 21. Municipalities with more than 10,000 inhabitants carry out a sample survey every year with a sample of 8% of the population and the collection is carried out between January and February.
5 enumerators (with an official card) will drop off the questionnaires in households and take them back once completed. They will also offer to respond via the Internet, giving you personal codes.
For your information, responding to the census questionnaire (the data of which is confidential) is mandatory.
The census allows us to better understand the population at the national level. It provides statistics on the number of housing units, the number of inhabitants and their characteristics (age, occupation, housing conditions, modes of transport, daily trips, etc.). It is also used to calculate the overall budgetary allocation of the municipality by the State. To find out more, go to the Censuses page.
Stay vigilant against false canvassing; people whose homes are affected by the population census are informed in advance by a letter placed in their mailbox. The agent then presents himself at their home with his enumerator card. Confidential or personal information will never be requested over the telephone. If in doubt, do not hesitate to contact the municipal coordinator on 04 91 10 48 75.
