  • Limited to only ten copies worldwide: Created through the project Fuoriserie shop this Giulia Quadrifoglio is the most spectacular of all time.
  • Two Italian sports icons combine their expertise: Alfa Romeo and the America’s Cup team Luna Rossa are cooperating on the high-performance sedan.
  • Know-how from racing: Aerodynamic components made of carbon fiber increase the downforce five times compared to the production model.
  • Maritime inspiration: The dashboard of the high-performance limousine is based on the sail fabric of the “Luna Rossa”, the seats are reminiscent of their life jackets.

WienJanuary 9, 2026 – A few weeks ago, Alfa Romeo and Maserati launched the Bottegafuoriserie project. The joint initiative combines the core competencies of both brands in the areas of design, development and production. The tasks of the highly specialized Bottegafuoriserie team include the development of exclusive small series and individualization programs, the restoration of classic vehicles and motorsport activities.

The project will now be presented to the public for the first time at the Brussels Motor Show (January 9th to 16th, 2026). Visitors to the motor show in the Belgian capital can experience the world premiere of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa*. The high-performance sedan, limited to just ten examples worldwide, is the result of the partnership with the Italian America’s Cup team Luna Rossa, which wants to fight for the most famous trophy in sailing in the Mediterranean off Naples in 2027. The highlights of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa include an aerodynamic kit developed with motorsport know-how and interior details inspired by the racing yacht.

The special model is handcrafted by the experts from the Bottegafuoriserie project based on a standard Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio*, which rolls off the assembly line at the Cassino plant south of Rome. The specific components of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa are entirely produced by Italian suppliers who specialize in the highest quality and innovative workmanship. With this most spectacular variant of the Alfa Romeo Giulia, a real masterpiece “Made in Italy” has been created, which stands at the top of the brand’s special series.

All ten vehicles have already been sold.

Extreme aerodynamics

The technological highlight of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa is a newly developed aerodynamics package. Numerous carbon fiber body components generate more downforce without affecting top speed. The add-on parts direct the air around the vehicle even more precisely and reduce turbulence. On the other hand, airflow is used to increase directional stability and efficiency. Side guide profiles on the right and left of the front apron increase the contact pressure on the front axle. 40 percent of the downforce occurs here alone. Two additional elements on the underbody accelerate the air under the vehicle, and side skirts made of carbon fiber seal this area from the outside. Through this in racing Ground Effect This phenomenon literally causes the vehicle to be sucked onto the road.

At the rear, an elaborately designed wing improves airflow. Its profile with two separate elements is inspired by the wings of the “Luna Rossa”. In racing yachts, this special shape of the wings (foils) has the task of lifting the hull out of the water and thus reducing the hydrodynamic resistance. To achieve the opposite effect, these profiles on the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa are rotated by 180 degrees: This creates aerodynamic downforce that presses the rear of the vehicle onto the asphalt.

The specific design of the double rear wing combines formal elegance with efficient technology, making optimal use of the air flows in this area. The result is impressive: the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa reaches 300 km/h. At top speed, the aerodynamic components generate a total of around 140 kilograms of downforce – around five times as much as in the Quadrifoglio production model.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa embodies the perfect synthesis of aerodynamics, technology and Italian style. The drive is the proven V6 twin-turbo petrol engine, which produces 382 kW (520 hp) from a displacement of 2.9 liters. A mechanical limited-slip differential in the rear axle optimizes torque transmission and increases driving stability, agility and the achievable cornering speed.

The style of the “Luna Rossa”: Exclusive materials and red Alfa Romeo logo

The body color of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa is inspired by the design of the racing yacht of its name, which took part in the recent 2024 America’s Cup in Barcelona. The hand-applied paint imitates the metallic effect of steel. The bodywork is finished in elegant gray. On some vehicles, the hood, roof and tailgate are finished in black. Red side stripes and the “Luna Rossa” lettering provide contrast. The Alfa Romeo brand logos on the front and rear of the vehicle were modified specifically for the special model and feature a red background for the first time. The 19-inch light-alloy wheels are also painted red. The roof, the brand emblem on the front of the vehicle and the mirror caps are made of visible carbon fiber.

The stylistic borrowings from the “Luna Rossa” continue in the interior. The exclusive details include, among other things, the specific covers for the sports seats from Sparco. The materials and graphics of their design are reminiscent of the life jackets of the crew of the racing yacht. A wafer-thin film is also integrated into the dashboard paneling, which corresponds to a layer from the sail of the “Luna Rossa”. The team provided this material specifically for this purpose in order to transfer a piece of the authenticity of the racing yacht into the cockpit of the high-performance limousine. In addition, numerous components of the interior trim are made of carbon fiber. Visual highlights include Luna Rossa logos on the center tunnel and the seat shells.

Alfa Romeo and the Bottegafuoriserie project at the Brussels Motor Show

The world premiere of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa is just one highlight of the Brussels Motor Show. The traditional Italian brand is also presenting two additional special models at the trade fair (Hall 5), each limited to 63 examples and already sold out: Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Collezione* and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio Collezione* honor the four-leaf clover as Alfa Romeo’s traditional lucky charm in motorsport1. Visitors to the Brussels Motor Show can also find out more about the new Alfa Romeo Tonale2 and the particularly attractive special model Alfa Romeo Junior Sport Speciale3 inform.

The project Fuoriserie shop4 is represented at the trade fair in Brussels with its own presentation (Hall 5). The four areas of activity of this unique cooperation between Alfa Romeo and Maserati are shown. The exhibition is rounded off by driving simulators that bring the sporty character of the Alfa Romeo Giulia to life, as well as a presentation of the Alcantara brand®. The Italian manufacturer of sporty and elegant seat covers is a historic partner of Alfa Romeo.

Alfa Romeo and Luna Rossa at the 38th America’s Cup

Alfa Romeo and Luna Rossa are the two protagonists of a new chapter in international sailing: both brands are competing together at the 38th America’s Cup. The world’s most prestigious sailing competition will be held in Italy for the first time in 2027. The regattas take place on the Mediterranean off Naples. An emotional video provides a first impression of the unique partnership between two “Made in Italy” icons (Link).

As a warm-up, so to speak, crew members of the “Luna Rossa” took part in the Mille Miglia classic car rally last May at the invitation of Alfa Romeo. The sailors tackled the legendary route from Brescia to Rome and back in a 1956 Alfa Romeo 1900 Super Sprint. The elegant coupe is usually on display at the brand’s factory museum in Arese.
