Jakarta –
Alexander Isak is still trying to find his form since joining Liverpool. The 26 year old striker is now looking at the best moment to start showing off.
Isak has only scored one goal in six limited appearances in all competitions with Liverpool. After his transfer drama from Newcastle United and his impressive goal record in the Premier League, Isak became the main spotlight.
He is expected to become Liverpool’s new goal machine. So far, the Swedish international player is still ‘reasonable’ to build his fitness because he missed the pre-season session due to his transfer drama.

But Liverpool legend John Aldridge hopes Isak will start ‘talking’ on the pitch instead of explaining the situation. Isak has the best opportunity to do so, when Liverpool host Manchester United at Anfield, Sunday (19/10/2025) evening WIB.
Facing an opponent who has a long history of rivalry, and the team is currently on a series of three defeats in all competitions, this is the best stage for Isak.
“But now is the time for him to produce. No more excuses, no more explanations. Next is United and there is no better time or team to show why you are one of the main figures at a club as big as Liverpool,” wrote Aldridge in a column on Liverpool Echo.
“Even so, I think Arne Slot has to find a way to play Isak and Hugo Ekitike. That’s something the boss is figuring out because Ekitike has started the season superbly and you need players who are performing at their best in the team.”
