But he deserves it because he played an incredible season and is playing at a very high level.” Thus, in the post-match press conference, Jannik Sinner on Carlos Alcaraz‘s closing of the season as world number 1, adding: “For me it is also a motivation for next year, for the preparation, for the work we will do.” Speaking about the Spaniard he underlines that “he has won two Grand Slams, he has won 8 tournaments, which is an incredible amount, he is competitive on any surface and he is playing very, very aggressive tennis. We have seen it against all three players he has faced so far in this tournament, he also had the pressure and handled it very well so he deserved it”.
