President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued Presidential Decree No. 11 of 2026 of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt to dissolve the sixth regular session of the second legislative term of the House of Representatives.
The decision, which came after reviewing the constitution and the internal regulations of the House of Representatives issued by Law No. 1 of 2016, and after the approval of the House of Representatives, stipulated that the session would be closed as of Thursday, Rajab 19, 1447 AH, corresponding to January 8, 2026 AD.
Article Two of the decision also stipulated its publication in the Official Gazette.
The decision was issued by the Presidency of the Republic on Rajab 18, 1447 AH, corresponding to January 7, 2026 AD.
