JAKARTA – Apple will only launch the AirPods Pro 3 in September 2025, but various leaks of the upcoming AirPods have already emerged. Reportedly, Apple will increase the number of variants of AirPods 3.
This step is in line with Apple’s product development trends in recent times, for example the addition of the Air model to the iPhone 17 line. This expansion provides consumers with more options at various prices.
The latest rumors suggest that Apple is preparing a new AirPods Pro model that has a camera infrared (IR) built-in. This camera is thought to be related to artificial intelligence (AI) features such as visual intelligence.
This camera-equipped model is rumored to be a more advanced version of the already launched AirPods Pro 3. That way, this model will become a new Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) instead of replacing the existing AirPods Pro 3.
This strategy is similar to the launch of the AirPods 4, which are available in two different versions. One model is equipped with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), while the other model does not have this feature.
With the addition of this feature, Apple is expected to launch five different AirPods options next year. These five products include the AirPods Pro 3 with camera, standard AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 4 with ANC, basic AirPods 4, and AirPods Max.
