Representative Ahmed Jaafar, the candidate for the Hadayek al-Qubba district in the 2025 House of Representatives elections, who ran in the race on the individual system and carried the electoral symbol “the pen,” died a short while ago at the age of 48 years.
Jaafar had run in the first round of elections within the same district, and the counting operations ended with the initial numerical count, which showed that he entered the run-off round after obtaining 9,579 votes, while his competitor, Saeed Al-Wasimi, obtained 6,169 votes.
The constituency is witnessing a state of sadness among the people of Hadayek al-Qubba and his supporters who followed his electoral career during the past days.
