Egyptian artist Ahmed El-Fishawy mourned his mother, the late artist Somaya Al-Alfy, with moving words, two days after her sudden passing due to a health problem, after he was absent from attending the funeral due to travel.

Al-Fishawi published a picture of his late mother on his official Instagram account, and commented on it, saying: “The eyes shed tears and the heart grieves, and we only say what pleases our Lord. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”

He also expressed his deep sadness and longing for his mother with touching words, saying: “You will miss me, Sesame. I will live the days of the rest of my life sad for you… You will miss me. Goodbye, bride of heaven.”
The reason for his absence from the funeral
Ahmed Al-Fishawy had missed his mother’s funeral, and the head of the Syndicate of Acting Professions in Egypt, Ashraf Zaki, previously revealed in a statement to “Okaz” the reason, stressing that Al-Fishawy was outside Egypt due to prior artistic commitments, but he immediately took the initiative upon learning of the news of the death by booking an urgent return flight.
