The renowned Val d’Akragas folklore group recently embarked on a notable journey to the united States, aiming to strengthen ties with the vibrant Italian-American community. Their tour commenced at the Cardella Center, where they paid tribute to the late Nino Bellomo. later, the group engaged with Consul General Fabrizio Di Michele at his Park Avenue residence, sharing a performance and discussing the multifaceted experiences of Italian immigrants over the past century. This meeting underscored the ongoing importance of understanding and supporting the Italian diaspora, which, according to recent census data, comprises over 17 million people in the United states.
