A magnitude 4.9 earthquake struck northern Afghanistan on Saturday at 7:03 p.m. GMT, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced.
The epicenter, located at a depth of 10 km, was initially located at 37.35 degrees north latitude and 70 degrees east longitude, according to the same source.
