The chosen processor is a quad-core with solid performance for gaming, in this area it is slightly better than the competing Ryzen 5 5500, but again it loses in productivity. We chose it for the slightly lower price and we need every fps in games. If you really need to save every penny, you can use the included cooler. Rather, however, we recommend buying an Endorfy Fera 5 for the processor, it will help with the overall heat dissipation, which will be a lot due to the graphics card.
Why we sacrificed processing power
At a time when DDR5 memories are too expensive, you can buy a very cheap processor with DDR4 memories. Compared to the alternative with DDR5 for around 14,500 CZK, the price comes to 8,000 CZK when we count the processor-board-memory trifoliate, while the increase in performance does not correspond to the difference in price. But yes, you will lose processing power and you will have to replace all three named components when you upgrade your computer in the future.
Not every player will use the maximum processor power, it is needed when playing on a rather lower monitor resolution, lower settings of graphic details in the game and for games that require speed. There are players who want to enjoy themselves and don’t care if they have 40 or 80 fps. In short, they set the game to full details, have a monitor with 4K resolution and don’t care about the rest. In such cases, they don’t even need to pay extra for the latest processors, and a set like the one in this article will be suitable for them and save money.
Graphics card: XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16G
We’re aiming for very demanding 4K gaming, so we need a powerful graphics card like this. If the gamer cares mainly about the details in the game, not the fluidity, the combination of powerful graphics and an average processor makes sense, but it is not universal for everyone. By the way, note that even with maximum savings on the processor and memory side, the graphics card still costs half of the total budget, which is the “golden rule” when choosing components for a gaming machine.
Motherboard: Gigabyte B760 DS3H AX DDR4
We tried to choose a slightly better and more reliable motherboard, even if you would have to pay more than CZK 3,000 more for future equipment with a significantly more powerful processor. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not missing, so the absolute basis for home gaming is here, you will also find two M.2 slots for storage on the board. It also has the necessary equipment, connectors, which are sufficient for the vast majority of players.
RAM memories: G.SKILL 16GB Kit DDR4 3200 MHz CL16 Aegis
For RAM memories, it is mainly about their price at a time when we are at multiples of the prices from the summer. The focus is on gaming, so in times of high prices, players will settle for 16 GB of capacity. If in the future the capacity becomes insufficient, there is always the option of purchasing another identical kit and expanding the RAM memory to 32 GB.
Storage: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1 TB
Despite the higher storage prices, we do not think that we would put a capacity of less than 1 TB in the gaming setup and that we would reach for a disk other than M.2 on the PCIe 4.0 standard. We still assume that it will also serve as a system drive, you will store the most demanding games on it, and possibly use older or slower storage for less demanding games or files. Currently, however, it is not worthwhile to buy higher storage capacities, as they are already considerably overpaid compared to earlier prices.
CPU cooler: Endorfy Fera 5
Thanks to the processor, which does not generate much heat, you can reach for a cheaper, but still very high-quality air cooler. The other components are also selected so that the assembly has good air flow, so there will be no need for a version with two fans. The cooler will not be heavily overloaded, which is reflected in the quiet operation of the assembly.

The resource is selected with regard to efficiency, quality, but also potential future improvements to the computer. Again, we did not choose the cheapest source, but we reached for a slightly better model with a modular construction, great efficiency and a certain reserve. We could have used a 750W power supply, but saving a few hundred crowns is not as important as the potential possibility of using this power supply in a future gaming setup.
Computer case: Montech AIR 903 Max Black
We chose the cabinet with the rest of the set in mind, not only will it offer enough space for all components, but it will provide space to cool them down. It already has four pre-installed fans, which saves additional costs and worries, gamers will appreciate the ARGB effects, and everyone will be happy about the room for future improvements to the setup.
