Urban’s death was confirmed by the singer’s friends and colleagues on the website aktuality.sk. “It is with deep sadness that I write these lines, friend, gifted singer, instrumentalist and composer Adam Urban died on the way to Moravia,” they said on social networks.
The tragedy happened on the D2 highway in the direction of Brno, where there was an accident between a van and a truck. According to available information, the driver of the van probably did not pay attention to driving and crashed into a stationary truck in the convoy.
“The 33-year-old driver of the Mercedes van was probably not driving and crashed into a lorry from behind, which had stopped in the forming convoy. The driver of the van did not survive the collision. The highway was impassable in the direction of Brno while the accident was being investigated,” police spokesman Bohumil Malášek described the accident.
