She thought she was old and there was no way she could be pregnant again. But the opposite was true. The well-known Hollywood actress now recalls a very difficult period in her life.

As she recalled that day, she called her gynecologist in convulsive tears. “It was a pure, total short circuit,” she said very honestly. As she went on to bluntly say, “None of this was planned. I had no idea it was physically possible. I was 44 years old.”
She couldn’t imagine how that was possible. Her middle son was prayed for and five long years had passed since her last birth.
„Rowan was very hard fought. I had to undergo two rounds of artificial insemination,” she admitted.
Together with her husband, actor Hugh Dancy (50), she has 13-year-old Cyrus, 7-year-old Rowan and 2-year-old daughter Shay, whose name was a secret until recently.
She experienced a sense of shame
And as she did not expect that she could be pregnant long after 40, she was quite surprised by the feelings that this discovery brought her. Especially the incredible feeling of shame.
“I was so old when it happened,” Danes said. As quoted by the People portal, she initially felt embarrassed when she found out she was pregnant. Not only because of her age, but also because of the stigma that accompanied her third pregnancy.
“I didn’t expect it at all. And it was strange. I suddenly felt a kind of weird shame,” she said.
“Like I was being naughty and caught doing something, beyond where I should have stopped. No, it was weird, and it was like I’d hit an edge I wasn’t quite aware of before – like I was slightly overstepping the parameters,” she added.
However, Claire deliberately postponed her motherhood until she was older. The first baby came at the age of 33. Finally, she admitted that she is glad that she did not have children earlier and decided on an acting career. But today he says that having a teenager, a schoolboy and a toddler at home at the same time is sometimes quite a ride.
