Who is Abdellah Taïa?
French-speaking Moroccan writer and filmmaker, Abdellah Taïa makes his literary debut with the collection of short stories My Moroccopublished in 2001. Author of several novels, including King’s Daywho won the Flore prize in 2010, The Salvation Armywhich he adapted for the cinema in 2012, and more recently Le Bastion of Tearss. His work explores questions of memory and identity, and questions the ambivalent relationship the author has with his native country.
