Defense Concerns: A “Media Circus”?

John Christian Elden, Gjert Ingebrigtsen’s defense lawyer, expressed concerns about the extensive media coverage, suggesting it resembles a “media circus.” He argued that the case’s public interest stems primarily from the fame of the individuals involved, rather than inherent public importance.

This is a case where the case itself has no public interest, but where the public has become curious because it involves famous people. It smells of media circus, especially with foreign players who do not no the Weather Varsom poster.
