AB InBev CEO Pay: €90 Million Remuneration Revealed

The document also shows the salary gap between the CEO and employees.

In large Belgian companies, this ratio is generally between 100 and 150 to 1. In other words, a manager earns on average one hundred to one hundred and fifty times more than the lowest paid employee. At AB InBev, the gap reached 1,790.6 to 1, an almost unprecedented level.

The jackpot of stocks and options

In 2025, Michel Doukeris saw his base salary rise to 1.36 million euros, to which were added 3.48 million euros in bonuses and around 231,000 euros in benefits linked in particular to pension and insurance. His direct remuneration thus reaches just over 5 million euros, a level comparable to that of other bosses of large Belgian companies.

The difference mainly comes from stocks and options. Last year, several share packages allocated in previous years reached maturity. Doukeris notably exercised more than 1.4 million options granted in 2020. As the share price was significantly higher than the planned purchase price, this operation alone provided it with a capital gain of approximately 23.6 million euros.

Other action programs, linked to the group’s performance on the stock market, have also been released. In total, the shares and options that became available in 2025 represented nearly 85.8 million euros.

By adding these amounts to his direct salary, the manager’s total remuneration exceeds 90 million euros on paper. A spectacular figure, even if these are gross amounts and not all the shares have yet been sold.
