Jefferson City Murder: Man Indicted in Cordell Avenue Shooting

Davis faces two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed criminal action and one count of unlawful use of a weapon. A grand jury indictment was filed Thursday, according to court records.

Davis’ arraignment is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday in Cole County Circuit Court. A counsel status hearing is set for Nov. 10 at 9 a.m. before Judge Daniel Richard Green.

Davis was initially charged with first-degree assault and first-degree domestic assault. Cole County Prosecuting Attorney Locke Thompson said Tuesday those charges were upgraded to first-degree murder after both victims died.

The case remains under investigation.

First-degree murder in Missouri carries a possible sentence of life in prison without parole or the death penalty.
