Ligue 1: New Streaming Options in UK & Italy

French football’s Ligue 1 has expanded its in-house direct-to-consumer (D2C) streaming service, Ligue 1+, into the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Italy.

The platform, which contains live games, highlights, and documentaries, has been operational in the UK and Ireland since the start of the 2024/25 season.

It broadcasts all matches except those embargoed by the 3pm blackout, with these broadcasts complemented by a pay-per-view deal with Amazon Prime Video. The monthly price is £9.99, with a season pass available for £49.99.

The most recent launch was in Italy in September 2025, where Ligue 1+ is the only platform to show every game from the league, supported by a non-exclusive broadcast deal with Sky Italia. The service is priced at €9.99 per month or €49.99 for a season pass.

These developments follow the launch of Ligue 1+ in its home market of France, where the channel has reportedly gained over one million subscribers since August. The league states it is the first of Europe’s conventional top five leagues to launch a D2C streaming platform of this scale.
