“I’ve got everything” now shows the back of this medal of success. The track opens the breakage points that arise when dreams suddenly become a reality. “It is important to me to write texts that are honest and close to my life – even if that sometimes puts on,” says Linda. “I’ve got everything” is also a diary – the Schwyzer tells of excessive demands and self -doubt, of the attempt not to lose sight of herself in the spotlight. You can feel that no perfect Popfasade is being built here, but sings a person who oscillates between euphoria and exhaustion.
A new clarity won
Musically, Linda Elys continues to expand her characteristic folk pop-subtle, melodious, with a touch of melancholy. And yet “I’ve got everything” seems clearer, more confident, as if the artist had found her inner direction. She also wants to show this newly won clarity live: After a festival season with highlights like Montreux, she continues her autumn tour, which ends in her home country – exactly where it all started.
