A cancer vaccine developed in Russia has successfully completed preclinical trials, demonstrating both safety and high effectiveness. This marks a significant advancement in cancer treatment research. The growth of this vaccine spanned several years, with the final preclinical trials lasting three years.

the vaccine is now awaiting regulatory approval before it can be administered to patients. Veronika Skvortsova of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) announced the findings at the Eastern Economic Forum, according to Russian news agency Tass.

“The research spanned several years, with the last three dedicated to mandatory preclinical studies,” Skvortsova stated. “The vaccine is now ready for use; we are awaiting official approval,” said Veronika Skvortsova,Tass reported.

Speaking at the forum,she emphasized the vaccine’s safety,even with repeated doses,and its strong effectiveness. According to her, tests revealed that the tumour size and growth were reduced by 60-80%, depending on the type of cancer.

Researchers also observed improved survival rates. The initial target for this vaccine is colorectal cancer, based on the current trials.Vaccines for glioblastoma and certain melanomas, including ocular melanoma, are also in advanced stages of development and showing encouraging results.
