REDMOND, Wash.- As Microsoft marks its 50th year, the company is celebrating its long-standing relationships with partners and looking ahead to a future shaped by artificial intelligence. The annual State of the Partner Ecosystem address emphasized the transformative power of collaboration and continuous reinvention.
From its beginnings in personal computing to its current leadership in cloud innovation and AI, Microsoft credits its extensive partner network for much of its success. The company reports a partner ecosystem of 500,000 strong.
According to IDC,Microsoft’s partner ecosystem benefits greatly from the collaboration. For every $1 of Microsoft revenue, services partners earn $8.45, and software partners earn $10.93. The company notes that generative AI (GenAI) is expected to outpace the overall IT market,with partners who generate at least 25% of their Microsoft-related revenue from AI seeing higher margins and revenue growth.
Microsoft emphasized its partner-led approach, recognizing the critical role partners play in driving innovation and customer success. The company extended its gratitude to its partners for their contributions.
