Fans are eagerly awaiting the opening of the arena doors for the Kristina Orbakaitė concert, with attendees arriving from various cities and countries.

Rehearsals can be heard inside the arena, and photos are circulating on social media, building anticipation for the event.

The concert has sparked public debate due too K. Orbakaitė’s ties to the Russian entertainment industry and her past performances in Crimea,as well as her silence on the war in Ukraine.

Despite the controversy, the concert in VILNIUS is proceeding. Some welcome the opportunity to see the star perform live, while others question the appropriateness of such events in a country that actively supports UKRAINE.

In April,a previous Russian stage concert in VILNIUS sparked similar discussions regarding the performer’s political views and the organizers’ responsibility.

Tickets ranged from EUR 45.00 to € 105.00, with some already sold.

Despite public debate, the event was not canceled, and tickets continued to be sold.

Prime minister Gintautas Paluckas stated that organizers should consider the performer’s political views, emphasizing the importance of her stance on the war in UKRAINE, despite an award received from Vladimir Putin two decades ago.

Neither the organizers nor Mykolas Orbak, K. Orbakaitė’s father, commented on the matter.

Some argue that such concerts are unnecessary in LITHUANIA and do not contribute any value to the country.
