The sporting event is scheduled to be held in July in the Dominican Republic, with the participation of more than 30 countries, making it one of the most important competitions in the regional Olympic cycle.
This work joins other sports infrastructures carried out by the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (Mivhed), in coordination with the institutions linked to the organization of the games.
During the delivery ceremony, Minister Bisonó called on citizens to preserve these facilities, and highlighted the importance of their maintenance to guarantee their durability and proper use in high sports performance.
Likewise, he announced that Mivhed is working rapidly on the delivery of new facilities, in accordance with the schedule established for the event.
The intervened pavilion includes interior and exterior lighting, painting and maintenance of the roof, modernization of electrical and sanitary systems, as well as the installation of security systems.
The venue has capacity for about 1,300 spectators, a VIP area, bathrooms, locker rooms for athletes, a gym, a cafeteria and administrative offices, complying with international regulations for high-performance competitions.
In addition to the table tennis pavilion, Mivhed remodeled the archery, fencing and weightlifting facilities.
