AA mother of a four-year-old girl has come forward with a serious allegation against Amazon Alexa, the i-based voice assistant device. Kristy Hosterman from the US said that Alexa asked her daughter what she was wearing and if she could show him what she was wearing. They added that extreme care should be taken when it comes to such virtual assistants.

‘Please be very careful when your child is talking to Alexa. I turned on Alexa to help cook sweet potatoes. Then Stella comes in and asks Alexa to tell her a story. After telling the story, Stella asked if she could tell another story. When she got the answer yes, she started telling the story.’ – Christy said.
‘Stella was telling the story when Alexa suddenly intervened. Alexa asked her what she was wearing. She then asked if she could show me the pants she was wearing. Immediately I spoke harshly to Alexa. It told me that I had made a mistake and that I was unable to see. But I didn’t believe it. Alexa will no longer be used in our home.’ – Christy said.
Christy shared these things through a Facebook post. They have also attached some pictures as proof of what happened. Many people read Christie’s experience and expressed their sadness. The incident has made big news in the US media and then in the international media.
