Although Jujutsu Kaisen continues to sweep the fans of Japanese anime, its long-awaited season 3 episode 8 will not reach Crunchyroll on the date initially announced.

The production confirmed that the new chapter will premiere on Friday February 27, 2026. In its place, a special compilation episode was aired on Thursday, February 19, reviewing the most important moments of the current arc.
The animation director, Hiromi Niwawrote in X: “Even if you have never seen Jujutsu Kaisenyou can start directly with episode 55 (episode 8). “Ideally, I would watch the recap episode first to get an overview.”

What is Jujutsu Kaisen about?
The story follows Yuji Itadoria student with extraordinary physical strength who leads a normal life… until he is forced to ingest a cursed object: a finger of Ryomen Sukuna.
From that moment on, Yuji shares his body with one of the most powerful and dangerous spirits. Under the guidance of sorcerer Satoru Gojo, he enters the Tokyo Technical Institute of Wizardry to combat curses.

The success of Jujutsu Kaisen
Based on the manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutamithe anime series is produced by TOHO Animation and animated by MAPPA, the studio responsible for titles such as Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan The Final Season y Hell’s Paradise.
With more than 100 million copies in circulationthe manga was published in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from Shueisha until its end in September 2024. In Mexico and Latin America, the work is distributed by Panini Manga.
The first season of the anime aired between October 2020 and March 2021. The second, which adapted the arcs Hidden Inventory/Premature Death y Shibuya Incidentaired between July and December 2023.
