Experts analyzed the volume of downloads of mobile titles for the first month of 2026, presenting a list of the most popular games.
The MobileGamer.biz portal presented a fresh chart of the most downloaded mobile applications for January 2026, based on information from the AppMagic analytical service. By tradition, the final figures do not take into account the performance of the Android segment in China.
The top spot in the ranking was once again occupied by Block Blast. Despite the significant decline – the number of installs fell by more than 10 million compared to December figures – the casual puzzle game maintained its dominance with 28 million downloads. This margin of safety was enough to remain inaccessible to competitors.
Free Fire is in second place. This shooter demonstrated impressive dynamics, showing its best result since mid-2025 and reaching 26 million downloads. Analysts attribute this rise to the successful crossover with the Magic Battle anime franchise, which significantly revived audience interest.
An honorable third place went to Roblox – the project collected about 22.6 million new installations. Some decrease in indicators compared to December is explained by natural reasons: the end of the holiday season and the return of schoolchildren to regular classes.
The rest of the top 10 did not undergo radical changes – most titles demonstrated the expected stability. Among the notable events, it is worth highlighting the personal record for downloads of Vita Mahjong, as well as the triumphant return to the top ten of the Tile Explorer project.
