UTA TRAX Stabbing: Salt Lake City Victim Boards Train After Attack

by Archynetys News Desk

SALT LAKE CITY — A person was taken to the hospital after being stabbed at an unknown location on Friday morning, but not before the person entered a TRAX train in Salt Lake City.

Gavin Gustafson with the Utah Transit Authority said a person who was bleeding got on a TRAX train at the Library station around 7:30 a.m.

“He said he had been stabbed,” Gustafson said.

Another person on the train called the UTA police, who responded once the train reached the Courthouse stop, according to Gustafson.

The person who was injured then received medical attention and was taken to the hospital.

“How he got stabbed, and what happened, where it happened, that’s all still under an investigation,” Gustafson said. “It did not happen on our platform. He just came to our platform after having been assaulted.”
