In the case of the alleged illegal acquisition of driver’s licenses at the black office, the examination commissioners figure mainly. There could be up to nine accused, plus two executives. After the police intervention, they did not come to work and it is impossible to contact them, the server iROZHLAS.cz reported on Wednesday with reference to the mayor of Černošice Filip Kořínek (Věci černošické). The police are prosecuting a total of 16 people. According to the server, criminal investigators were alerted to the case by the Ministry of Transport.
Last Wednesday, the police intervened at the Prague branch of the Černošice Municipal Office in Podskalská street. All 16 prosecuted ended up in custody. Criminalists accuse them of participating in an organized group, some also of abusing the authority of an official and accepting a bribe.

The police intervention mainly concerned the driving school department, which is located in the Prague branch of the Black Office. Originally, 12 commissioners worked in it, now only the names of three of them can be found on the website, who also continue to come to work. The name of the head of the given department also disappeared, reported iROZHLAS.cz.
He writes that some black commissioners, according to the police, were issuing certificates of passing the test of professional competence to drive vehicles without authorization. “And above all to foreigners. The police took away part of the card file, which specifically related to their driving tests,” Kořínek told the server.
According to iROZHLAS, criminal investigators were alerted to a possible violation of the law by the Ministry of Transport, which suspected non-standard conduct by the examiners. The authorities in charge of issuing driver’s licenses are checked by the Ministry on an ongoing basis. In the past, it also prompted investigations in the case of Kralupe, Jindřichova Hradec, Prachatica, Varnsdorf or Tanvald.
Aleš Cimbala, the spokesman for the Prague City Public Prosecutor’s Office, said earlier that the actions that the police are investigating related to the alleged obtaining of driving licenses in violation of the law. According to him, the police deal with more than two hundred individual cases, the number may not be final. It also deals with suspicions of accepting bribes.
