Actress Sydney Sweeney has long been used to life in the spotlight, but now she’s managed to get everyone talking about her again.
The 28-year-old star has literally soared to the A-list in recent years and has become widely recognized for her roles in “Euphoria” (“Euphoria”) And “The White Lotus” (“The White Lotus”). Most recently, Sweeney led the cast of the box office hit “The Housemaid“which was released on December 19 and in just two and a half weeks brought in $133 million in revenue.
Now the actress is again at the center of the online buzz – this time because of her new cover for In Magazine. In the main photo, Sweeney is naked except for metallic gold paint that covers her body from head to toe. Her hair is styled in a blond, short bob inspired by “old Hollywood”.
The photo session may seem scandalous to some of the audience, but In Magazine it is not the first time that he bets on similar aesthetics. Back in November 2010, Kim Kardashian posed scandalously on a cover in a similar look – covered in silver paint. Kardashian later admitted she regretted the photos, explaining that she didn’t expect the footage to be as revealing as it ended up being.
With Sweeney, the tone is different – she seems completely confident and even proud of the result. The actress even shared the cover on her personal profile in Instagram.
And, of course, it’s no surprise that the photo instantly divided social networks. While many people showered her with compliments, others took to the comments to criticize In Magazinefor posting what they believe is a provocative image.
“I didn’t think a magazine could go lower than the Kardashians, but here we are.” one user wrote.
“When oh when are we going to get a dislike option for posts?”another added.
And this is by no means the first time Sweeney has faced online hate. In 2025, she made headlines by appearing in a controversial jeans ad for American Eagle, which sparked a massive cultural debate across the country because, according to users, it promoted eugenics, “white supremacy” and even “Nazi propaganda.”
