From January 2, 2026, certain specialist doctors will see their prices increase by a few euros, as part of the conventional agreement signed with Health Insurance.

Some of these prices should have already increased on July 1, 2025, but the increase was postponed due to an alert on the deterioration of Health Insurance accounts. Which specialties are concerned? Europe 1 takes stock.

Upgraded geriatric consultations

One of the most significant increases concerns pediatricians, whose consultation increases from 45 to 50 euros for all appointments for children under 2 years old. Increases should also be noted among gynecologists (40 euros), neurologists (52 euros) or even for screening at the dermatologist (60 euros). Sports doctors and endocrinologists are also affected, with an increase of 2 to 4 euros.

With the aging of the population, the prices of geriatricians are also increasing, with a consultation now at 42 euros.

Furthermore, from this Friday, treating doctors will be able to charge 60 euros for a “long consultation” intended for patients over 80 years old.

This consultation may take place once a year, in three specific cases: after hospitalization, to direct the patient on a medico-social pathway, or to reduce the need for medication in patients undergoing multiple treatments.
