Maduro UN Speech: Venezuela Oil & US Threats

by Archynetys News Desk

Caracas. Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro spoke on Wednesday by telephone with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and denounced an “escalation of threats” following Washington’s announcement of a “total blockade” of “sanctioned” vessels transporting oil to Caracas.

During the call, in which he warned “about the escalation of threats against Venezuela and its serious implications for regional peace,” Maduro “denounced” comments by his American counterpart, Donald Trump, in which he “unacceptably stated that the oil, natural wealth and Venezuelan territory belonged to him,” indicates a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
