Finally, yesterday, Ramiro recovered his Instagram account. He did it at the best moment: while he is intensely experiencing the run-up to the World Cup and plans to cover each National Team match with the same emotion with which one day he stepped onto the Godoy Cruz field for the first time.
There is something about Ramiro that is disarming. Gabriel, his father, told TN that Ramiro is in oncological treatment since the age of two due to a diagnosis of the presence of nodules in the brain.
He was hospitalized on several occasions and, although today he is stable, must take daily medication: one pill in the morning and another at night. He can do almost everything, but not high impact sports. He also had a gastric button as part of his treatment.
Football from another place
Ramiro comes from a family of professional players, and the desire for football is marked in him almost like a mandate. However, his body didn’t always respond the way he wanted. At school he was bullied because he did not have the same skills as his classmates..
“There are still some who carry him because he has no eyebrows due to the medication,” his father said with pain and pride at the same time.
But far from giving up, Rami found another way to live his passion: talk about football, analyze it, feel it from a place different from that imposed by the logic of competition. Today, his voice is heard. His friends support him, his followers grow, and his story inspires.
“I want to meet Bizarrap in person“he confesses, still with latent emotion. But perhaps, without knowing it, he has already achieved something even bigger: showing that love for what you do can get the ball rolling, even if it is in a different way.
