Kia Sorento

Kia Sorento is one of the last typical SUVs from Asia that still have what Europeans love – a diesel engine.
Although it might seem to some that diesel is already outdated. It’s not like that. It is still relevant for those who drive a lot of kilometers per year, but also every day. The diesel CRDi in the next updated version has fewer peak horsepower, but a decent pull in low and medium revs and good consumption with a decent range without the need to charge or refuel too often.
The Sorento is rather a rarity, but Kia is keeping it alive, including the diesel version for the year 2026. The model can therefore compete with European premium brands that offer similar equipment and space at a significantly higher price. Currently, the biggest competitors for Sorento are cars like Kodiaq and Tayron. They have been able to undercut the Sorento in price since, but in a direct comparison they play an even game. The Sorento has the stamp of Korean premium and uniqueness. Or does it actually have? Watch the short video and judge for yourself.
