The Odoxa sports barometer places these two events at the top of expectations for 2026.
The year 2026 promises to be particularly busy on a sporting level. Unsurprisingly, the two events most anticipated by the French are the Winter Olympics and the Football World Cup organized on American soil, according to an Odoxa sports barometer carried out this week for Winamax and RTL.
As for the most anticipated French athletes, Léon Marchand (41%) comes first among men, ahead of Antoine Dupont (27%) and Félix Lebrun (24%). Among women, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (35%) occupies first place, ahead of Perrine Lafont (25%), Cassandre Beaugrand (21%) and Laurence Fournier Beaudry (21%).
