A citizen who got out of the vehicle, chased a cub from a wild boar herd he encountered on a snowy road in Sinop’s Erfelek district, and caught it with his hand, spoke about the images that had a great impact on social media.
Şenel Yılmaz (41), who caught the pig, emphasized that the incident was a completely instantaneous reflex and should not be an example to anyone, and said, “We encountered a herd of pigs while coming from my village to Erfelek. I had caught it before, but I did not record it on camera at that time. This time, I caught it for a moment and then released it. No one should emulate this. The big ones can tear a person to pieces.”

Stating that the snow thickness exceeded 1 meter at the time of capture, Yılmaz said, “When I held the pig in my arms, we sank into the snow. I was able to get out of the snow by placing the pig in front of me. It was not a bad moment for me, on the contrary, it was a good memory. I noticed later in the videos that the cigarette was also burning. I did not harm the pig, if my aim was to harm it, I would not have released it.”
Yılmaz underlined that unconscious people should not approach wild animals and said, “I did not hold the neck and bring the head closer to me. Otherwise, it could cut or dismember a person. I definitely do not recommend it.”
