Del Mar, California.- The new theme for the 2026 edition of the San Diego County Fair will be “Once upon a time there was a fair”, the organizers of this event announced this Tuesday.
The 2026 San Diego County Fair will be June 10 to July 5 on the grounds in Del Marlocated at 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, in the north of the county.
The 2026 theme invites fair visitors to open a new chapter by celebrating the pleasure of reading, the power of storytelling, and the magic that lies between the linessince it is about the power of books and the love of reading.

According to organizers, through the fair’s attractions, games, exhibits, entertainment, cuisine and festive atmosphere, San Diegans and Baja Californians will be invited to write their own summer story.
“The San Diego County Fair is the greatest story our community has ever told, it is a story of food, fun, friends, family, laughter, tradition, music, wonder, and pure joy, our fair is an unforgettable event, and we know this theme will be unforgettable,”
said Carlene Moore, general manager of the Agricultural Association District 22, which organizes the fair.
Among the activities scheduled for next year’s fair are: “Tell Your Story,” “Golden Books,” “Color and Comics,” “Love for the Library,” and a “Book Fair.”
The organizers stressed that beyond the thematic exhibits, visitors will be able to find a wide variety of gastronomic experiences, more than 70 mechanical games in the fun zone and the children’s area, among others.
