Dn the framework of organized screening for colorectal cancer, Health Insurance informs doctors and pharmacists that a new market for screening kits takes effect from 15 mars 2026 [1, 2].

As a reminder, the supply of screening kits and the management of an immunological test analysis solution are the subject of a public procurement procedure implemented by the National Health Insurance Fund (Cnam).

Consequences for doctors and pharmacists

In practice, for doctors and pharmacists who want to order kits on amelipro :

  • for all order placed from March 15, 2026delivery of screening kits from this new market ;
  • for all order placed before March 15, 2026delivery of screening kits from the old market:

    • ces old kits can continue to be analyzed for 6 months by the laboratory ; ils can no longer be analyzed after September 15, 2026,
    • these old kits can continue to be given to patients over the coming weeks, taking into account the deadline of September 15, 2026. In the event of handing over an old kit, patients should be encouraged to quickly carry out their test,
    • It is recommended that doctors and pharmacists not build up large stocks of kits from the old market.

Four ways to get a colorectal cancer screening kit

In France, colorectal cancer screening kits are now accessible [3] :

  • to the doctor ;
  • with the community pharmacist (subject to having validated the training with the regional cancer screening coordination centers [CRCDC]) ;
  • with a state-certified nurse (the latter join the list of already authorized professionals such as doctors and pharmacists);
  • or by ordering online on the site monkit.depistage-colorectal.fr (authentication by FranceConnect).

Colorectal cancer screening is aimed at men and to women aged 50 to 74 [2]. It is based on an immunological test which detects the presence of blood in the stools.
Both years, Health Insurance sends eligible people an invitation to obtain a test. The analysis of this test is supported at 100 %.
