2026 Golden Globes: ‘Battle After Battle’ Leads Nominations | Film News

One battle after another‘, the long-awaited film with Leonardo DiCaprio directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, dominates the 2026 Golden Globe nominations with nine mentions.

The thriller competes for best film – comedy or musical and also gets nominations for direction, screenplay and for the performances of DiCaprio, Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor and Chase Infiniti.

Followed by the Norwegian drama ‘Sentimental Value’ with eight nominations and the vampire-thriller ‘Sinners’ with seven. Both are in the running for best drama film along with ‘Frankenstein’, ‘Hamnet’, ‘It Was Just an Accident’ and ‘The Secret Agent’, while ‘Battle After Battle’ is among the finalists in the comedy or musical category alongside ‘Bugonia’, ‘Blue Moon’, ‘Marty Supreme’, ‘No Other Choice’ and ‘Nouvelle Vague’.

On the television front, ‘The White Lotus’ stands out with six nominations, dominating the supporting roles categories. The miniseries ‘Adolescence’ follows with five mentions, while ‘Only Murders in the Building’ and ‘Severance’ stop at four.

Among the few performers nominated both in cinema and on TV, Amanda Seyfried (for ‘The Testament of Ann Lee’ and ‘Long Bright River’), Jacob Elordi (for ‘Frankenstein’ and ‘The Narrow Road to the Deep North’) and Jeremy Allen White, selected for ‘The Bear’ and for the role of Bruce Springsteen in ‘Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere’, stand out.

The ceremony will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, hosted by Nikki Glaser for the second consecutive year.
