2026: Commitment & Dedication – What to Expect

by drbyos

ANCONA – Start of the year with many good intentions for the GLS Dolphins Ancona who celebrated 2026 “as a family” on Saturday 3 January with a convivial open to members and families which, despite holidays, flu and bad weather, still saw the presence of over 200 diners. Just the day before the arrival of the Olympic Flame in Ancona. In fact, yesterday at 7.30pm the brazier was lit in Piazza Cavour at the end of the route carried out by the Doric Torchbearers in the presence of many Ancona residents who braved the weather so as not to miss the historic event. Obviously among the sports delegations present also the GLS Dolphins who exhibited their European champions on the brazier stage. The European Flag Under 17 champions Aurora Vitali, Viola Carletti, Amanda Piangerelli and Emma Angeloni stood before the cheering public followed by Riccardo Petrilli and Raffaele Rotelli, European champions with the national senior flag team in the continental tournament held in September in Paris. In the presence of the regional governor Acquaroli, the CONI president Marche Luna, the regional sports councilor Consoli and municipal Zinni and the host Daniele Silvetti, mayor of Ancona, the green-orange athletes experienced a historic moment for each athlete which we hope will be a good omen for participation in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics in which the discipline of “Flag Football” will make its debut as a demonstration discipline. “All six of these GLS Dolphins athletes can nurture the dream of parading in the “City of Angels” with the blue colors as all six are permanently in the national federal program – states the company – It will take a lot of commitment and dedication because as Benjamin Franklin wrote… “no pain, no gain”.
