It’s only the second tournament of the new PGA Tour season, but we already have plenty of drama on the menu.
Heading into Sunday’s final round of the American Express, four-time PGA Tour winner Si Woo Kim holds a one-shot lead. Kim earned that position with a six-under 66 on Saturday that propelled him to 22 under through three rounds.
But Kim, who rejected an offer from LIV Golf ahead of the season, has some serious company right behind him.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is one shot back as he tries to kick off his season in style with his 20th PGA Tour win. He’s tied with 18-year-old Blades Brown, who nearly shot a 59 on Friday. If Brown were to top Scheffler and Kim to claim the trophy, he’d become one of the youngest winners in Tour history.
The final round of the American Express will be played at the Pete Dye-designed Stadium Course at PGA West. Players will tee off in threesomes.
