2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Schedule: Dates, Times, and Key Information

The 2025 NCAA Division I women’s basketball tournament, commonly known as March Madness, will kick off with the bracket reveal on Selection Sunday. This highly anticipated event will determine which 68 teams make up the field for the championship run.

Bracket Reveal and Key Dates

Selection Sunday: The bracket will be unveiled on Sunday, March 16, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. This is the night when fans find out which teams have earned the opportunity to compete for the national championship.

First Four Round: March 19-20 will feature the First Four games, where four teams battle it out to earn a spot in the main draw.

First Round: From March 21-22, the main tournament kicks off with 32 games played across various locations.

Second Round: March 23-24 will see the remaining 16 teams competing to advance to the Sweet 16.

Sweet 16: On March 28-29, 8 teams will be crowned the victors, setting the stage for the Elite Eight.

Elite Eight: March 30-31 is when the top 4 teams will be disclosed.

  • April 6: The championship game will tip off at 3 p.m. ET, also hosted at Amalie Arena, Florida.
