2025 F1 US GP Starting Grid: Race Lineup & Qualifying Results

by Archynetys Sports Desk

Max Verstappen took his second pole position at the Circuit of the Americas, the seventh of the season and the 47th of his Formula 1 career.

The Dutch driver, who had already been the fastest in the sprint classification on Friday, set a best time of 1m32s510 in Q3 on Saturday to lead by 0s291 over Lando Norris, who placed second again as yesterday, although this time considerably further away.

Third position was left to Charles Leclerc, who recovered after spinning on his first fast lap of Q3 to close a lap of 1m32s807 in the final part of the session that left him only six thousandths behind Norris, while George Russell was the best representative of Mercedes and will share the second row of the grid with the Monegasque driver by placing fourth, ahead of Lewis Hamilton with the other Ferrari.

Oscar Piastri, championship leader, could only be sixth in a difficult classification for the Australian, who finished almost six tenths off the pole and 0.283s behind what Norris achieved with the first McLaren.

The top ten positions were completed by Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), Oliver Bearman (Haas), Carlos Sainz (Williams) and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin).

Franco Colapinto managed to advance to Q2 of the qualifying session, but once there he could not go further than 15th place, one position behind Pierre Gasly, his teammate.
