Despite an unseasonable cold wave sweeping through Beijing, enthusiasm for tennis is soaring at Peking University.The Faculty and Workers Association’s 27th elementary tennis training class recently concluded, drawing notable participation from across the university’s departments.
High Demand, Flexible Scheduling
The two-week program, designed to accommodate the diverse schedules of faculty and staff, offered both lunchtime and evening sessions. Demand was exceptionally high, with registration filling up rapidly. jia Wanghui from the Institute of Frontier Interdisciplinary Studies expressed relief at securing a spot, stating, Every time a class is offered, it’s incredibly popular. I finally managed to sign up this time!
Expert Instruction Fuels Rapid Progress
The training program boasted a team of experienced instructors from the Sports Teaching and research Department,including Li Yuxin,Wu Hao,Liu Maohui,and Lu Fuquan. The curriculum encompassed ten hours of instruction, covering fundamental tennis techniques such as forehand strokes, serves, volleys, and basic game rules.
